So I`m working on this computer... imagine that... Anyways..
In Firefox, the browser start page has been hijacked to this:

http://www.aol.com\?src=aim

And whenever I try and change it, whether it be in tools, or about:config It keeps changing back, whether I close the browser and restart or not.. AIM is also set as the default and only search engine..

I`ve ran spybot, AVG, Malware bytes, Microsoft antispyware thingie, and they all come up perfectly clean... I cant find anything suspicious in a hijack this log either.... I`ll post one up if anyone feels they want to take a look at the log, or I can email it to you or whatever...
IE works just fine, no problems, can change search and browser settings at will with no problems fwiw..

Any ideas or somethin obvious I`m obliviously missing?

sure its bugware and just not AOL making sure you can't change the home page? or some other legit protection software stopping the change ? think defender has that ability, along with some other software

Not sure.. But I uninstalled Firefox and removed all settings etc for a second time, and now its all gone away.... Weird...
